How this book is made
This book grows out of Giovanni Kerkhof's spoken voice memos: 6,182 notes taken from 2,056 recordings, most of them made between 2020 and 2026, some in Dutch. Every sentence in quotation marks is his own spoken word, transcribed and checked verbatim against the recordings (522 of 522 quoted passages in chapter 1). The connecting prose was drafted with AI from those memos, in the first person, and has not yet had the author's full edit. Edition 1, draft.
